Global Energy Forum 2018

For the Atlantic Council’s second year hosting its Global Energy Forum in Abu Dhabi, we knew we wanted to maintain the recognizable aesthetic we had developed for the inaugural conference while introducing new elements as a nod to the significant growth in the scope, prestige, and goals of the event.

We began promoting the content of the conference (6 publications, dozens of speakers, and a handful of secondary concurrent events) weeks ahead of the event, which means we started planning months in advance. The first thing on our agenda was the website. 

Working with an external developer, we launched an standalone home for all things Energy Forum related, including speaker bios, agendas, partner info, and media information. The site is scalable and year-to-year information is easy to manage.

We also put together a suite of images for use on social media, including quick-draw templates that we could use for real-time quotes. 

We also created schedules (that could be easily modified as conference agendas are never, ever truly final) that looked nice and could go a lot of places.
